On 2 July 2010 the company applied for planning consent - HM/10/X0364/NEW. Planning consent was awarded in February 2011.  The decision is being challenged in court by a local resident (see story below)

Scotgen submits planning application, 2 July 2010

Scotgen has announced that it has submitted an application for planning consent for a proposed waste gasification plant. The application was declared valid on 5 July, at which point the public may make representations for 28 days. For more information you may wish to look at Scotgen's latest newsletter (go to their homepage and clicking on the link titled 'About Scotgen South Lanarkshire'). The planning application can be viewed here - HM/10/X0364/NEW.

7 June - Scotgen still accepting pre-application comments

Scotgen has published a newsletter stating that it will still accept comments as part of its pre-application consultation with the community - click here. You can see other Scotgen newsletters by going to their homepage and clicking on the link titled 'About Scotgen South Lanarkshire'. The company is currently preparing a planning application and environmental impact assessment.
