Planning application rejected, Tuesday 18 August 2009 (click here and scroll down to item 4.1 to see the arguments that were made at the Planning Committee meeting). On 11 May 2010 the Government Reporter overturned that refusal on appeal (click here), but Mohamed Al Fayed challenged the Reporter's decision in court. On 22 Dec 2010 the local campaign group announced that the Goverment had conceded defeat.
