Capacity: 

It will have a capacity of 300,000 tonnes per year. It extends to 7 hectares with the footprint of the facility covering 5-6 hectares and the stack will be 80m. It will cost £148 million (approx) and take three years to construct.

Barrhill/Arecleoch Forest proposal dropped, 13 Jan 2011

George Watson, who has been leading the campaign against proposals for a 300,000 tpa of municipal and commercial waste at Arecleoch Forest, near Barrhill in South Ayrshire, has now been informed that the proposals have been dropped altogether.
